About Haridwar

Haridwar, meaning "Gateway to God," is one of the seven holiest places in Hinduism. Located at the foothills of the Himalayas where the Ganges River emerges from the mountains, it attracts millions of pilgrims each year. The city is famous for its ghats, particularly Har Ki Pauri, where devotees gather for the spectacular Ganga Aarti ceremony every evening. Haridwar is also one of the four sites of the Kumbh Mela, held every twelve years. Besides its religious significance, the city offers beautiful temples, ashrams, and natural surroundings that create a serene atmosphere for spiritual seekers and tourists alike.
