About Badrinath

Badrinath is one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites, located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and forms an important part of the Char Dham pilgrimage. The temple is situated along the banks of the Alaknanda River, against the stunning backdrop of the Neelkanth peak. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu meditated here for thousands of years under a badri tree. Besides the main temple, Badrinath offers several other religious sites like Tapt Kund (hot spring), Narad Kund, and Brahma Kapal. The serene environment, surrounded by majestic mountains and the flowing Alaknanda River, creates a deeply spiritual atmosphere for devotees.
